Natalia Rumiantseva is a costume designer and maker working across film, theater, and styling. Since beginning her career in 2019, she has developed a hands-on, process-driven approach to costume design, with experience ranging from independent films to theatrical productions and commercial work.
Her early work in Moscow included styling and production roles on commercials and television, where she developed a strong eye for visual storytelling and detail. She later transitioned into costume design for film, working on both short and feature productions, gaining experience in fast-paced, resourceful environments.
Natalia refined her technical skills at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where she studied fashion design with a focus on draping, patternmaking, and garment construction. During this time, she interned with Eric Winterling, contributing to high-end costume work for Broadway and television, and gained backstage experience during New York Fashion Week.
Now based in Los Angeles, she works primarily in theater and film, contributing as a costume designer, assistant designer, and tailor on productions including Cinderella and The Sound of Music. Alongside her production work, she founded Magic Crowns Co., a small business focused on handmade, fantasy-inspired accessories that merge craftsmanship with storytelling.
Natalia brings a balance of creativity, adaptability, and strong technical execution to her work, with a focus on building costumes that support narrative, character, and performance.
